About the Book
In our Victorian stories, we are transported to Alesther House, a beautiful ancestral estate, home of Lord Wright and his family. Our tales begin at the onset of Queen Victoria’s reign.
We accompany the family in their daily lives, sharing their greatest joys and deepest sorrows. Along the way we meet several members of their household who occupy a very important place in their journey and become part of their extended family.
Lord Wright graciously invites us to accompany them on these adventures.

M.L.Platt was born in Ottawa, Canada, where she currently resides. From a young age she developed a profound love for history, storytelling and the arts. Her schooling led her to major in psychology at the University of Ottawa, a field well-suited to her patient and compassionate personality. Michelle’s escape from the demands of daily life lies in the interests she has cultivated since childhood, leading her to become a miniaturist par excellence. During the isolation of the pandemic, she converted her fantasies into words. In this novel, her inner child and vivid imagination take her to Victorian England, where she lives her historical dreams in the stories at Alesther House.
